In the heart of every person is a longing for something more than this world has to offer. We try to fill this void with relationships, pleasure, possessions, and success – all of which will ultimately leave us feeling empty and wanting more. God's word says that the only solution for this eternal longing is found in living out our created purpose by glorifying God and walking in dynamic relationship with Him.

We call ourselves a Vertical Church because we desire that God's glory would be at the center of everything we do. From our unashamed worship and unapologetic preaching to our gospel-centered community, everything we do as a church is about the person, work, and word of Jesus Christ.

It's not about what we want, not about what's easy to say, and not about what feels good. We know that when we seek God above all else, making much of Jesus Christ, we will experience the life-changing power of the Spirit.

This is what we were made for.
This is why we're vertical.

God desires to be worshipped in spirit and in truth (John 4:24) and promises to inhabit the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). At Harvest we approach every weekend with the expectation that we will experience the manifest presence of God through passionate and sincere worship and the power of His word. When we do this, God shows up and lives are changed.

True growth in Jesus Christ can only be experienced by participating in gospel-centered community (Ephesians 4:15-16). At Harvest, this community is found in small groups where we gather together throughout the week to apply God's word, lift one another up in prayer, hold each other accountable, and care for each other's needs.

Jesus said, "I came not to be served but to serve" (Mark 10:45). As members of the body of Christ, our aim is to model His heart in service toward others by participating in the work God is doing in the local church. Harvest would not be what it is without the hundreds of volunteers who serve our people each week. We believe it is a privilege to work for Christ and we encourage everyone who calls Harvest their home to exercise their faith in a tangible way by serving this community.
